Due to its proximity to Athens, Kythnos in Greece is a frequent summer weekend destination for the Athenians. This is a lovely island with relaxing beaches and traditional style. The island of Kythnos is one of the Greek islands of the Aegean Sea and it belongs to the Cyclades islands group. Kythnos island has nice villages, including Chora, Driopida and Loutra, distinguishing for the traditional architecture and the relaxing atmosphere. Loutra and Merichas are the most popular villages in Kythnos, concentrating the majority of accommodation on the island. Most accommodation options in Kynthos include cozy studios and apartments instead of large hotels. Accommodation in Loutra is more traditional, while Merichas is more modern, as it attracts younger crowds. Chora, the capital of Kythnos, also has a good variety of hotels and apartments, often in restored stone houses. Some beaches also have few studios on the beach side, providing great places to stay during your holidays in Kythnos.
